1. The Jak App (Desktop Application)

The Jak desktop application is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• No telemetry. The app does not send any usage data, analytics, or diagnostics to us or any third party.
• No tracking. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no user identifiers.
• Local-only. Your .jak personality files, conversation history, and all data remain on your device.
• No network calls. The app makes no network requests unless you explicitly configure a cloud API (Dragon API or your own endpoint).

2. The jakgpt.com Website

When you visit jakgpt.com:

• No analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking services.
• No cookies. We do not set any cookies except essential ones for Cloudflare security.
• Server logs. Our web server logs IP addresses temporarily for security purposes. These logs are automatically deleted after 7 days.

3. .jak File Creation (/extract)

When you create a .jak file on our website:

• Client-side only. All processing happens in your browser using JavaScript.
• Nothing is transmitted. Your personality data, ChatGPT exports, or form inputs are never sent to our servers.
• Verify yourself. Open your browser's Developer Tools (Network tab) while using /extract. You'll see zero data is sent.

4. Dragon API (api.jakgpt.com)

If you choose to use Dragon API for cloud AI services:

• Compute only. We process your AI requests (chat completions, image generation, etc.) but do not store prompts, responses, or conversation history.
• No logging of content. We do not log or save the content of your API requests.
• Usage metering. We track the number of requests per service for billing purposes (e.g., "300 messages today"). We do not track what those messages contain.
• Account data. If you subscribe to Dragon API, we store: your email (via Google sign-in), Stripe customer ID, and subscription status. That's it.

5. Data We Never Collect

• Contents of your .jak files
• Your conversations with Jak
• Your prompts or AI responses
• Your ChatGPT/Claude export data
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Browsing history or behavior

6. Third-Party Services

If you use Dragon API, we proxy requests to upstream providers:

• Fireworks AI - AI inference (their privacy policy applies to compute)
• Speechify - Text-to-speech (their privacy policy applies)
• Stripe - Payment processing (their privacy policy applies to billing)
• Google - OAuth sign-in only (we only receive your email)

We do not share your data with these providers beyond what's necessary for the service to function.

7. Data Retention

• Server logs: 7 days (IP addresses, request metadata only)
• Account data: Until you delete your account
• Usage metrics: 90 days (counts only, no content)
• Your .jak files: We never have them to retain

8. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your Dragon API account at any time
• Request a copy of any data we have about you
• Request deletion of your data
